Kora's Senior Living was founded on the idea of giving providers the ability to provide quality long-term care, which could be found in a 1:1 setting, without losing the social aspect of one's life. The owner, Mariama Cora, worked in the field of geriatrics for many years and owned an adult family home. Throughout her experience she saw a need for new and existing providers to have help in running their business.
Running an adult family home can be very rewarding, but also very challenging at the same time. This business requires providers to wear several different hats. It can be difficult from being a compassionate caregiver, to managing a business and everything else in between. Sometimes as providers we tend to fall behind in our paperwork and staying in compliance with state regulations.
